Alii Nui Maui Snorkel or Snuba to Molokini or Turtle Point.

The Alii Nui Maui is an incredibly fun and comfortable 65 foot catamaran that will sail you to one of the most popular snorkel sites in Maui: Molokini Crater! Once there, you’ll have hours to spend snorkeling, snuba diving, and simply relaxing and taking in the ocean views. On a journey to Molokini during whale season (December – April), you’ll see the incredible humpback whales, and once it’s time to jump in, you’ll be able to hear the whales singing underwater, too! Amazing!

The ancient volcanic crater you’ll be snorkeling in is a bird preserve as well as a marine preserve! You can explore Molokini with your buddy, or you can go on a guided “Snorkel Safari” with one of Alii Nui Maui’s water specialists. Float calmly and watch the unbelievably colorful and varied reef fish of Molokini, as well as the seabirds that fly above. You are sure to see some yellow tang, moorish idols, and (of course) the famous and celebrated humuhumunukunukuapua’a. Keep an eye out for eels, docile reef sharks, and spotted eagle rays, too!

This luxury vessel has everything you’ll need for an awesome day in the water, including wetsuits, silicone masks, dry snorkels, and vented fins. There are also prescription masks you can use, boogie boards with portholes to see the reef without a mask, and all kinds of flotation devices, including noodles. Heated freshwater showers (to rinse off the salt water) and two large restrooms are available on board. An incredible breakfast including scrambled eggs and bacon is laid out for you on the way to Molokini, and the Alii Nui Maui serves up an amazing lunch, too! (Kiawe smoked pulled pork and teriyaki chicken thighs, yum!)

Even if you have never snorkeled before, the captain and crew will make sure you are comfortable as you get used to the sport, and you’ll be checking out the coral reef in no time! If you are already happy snorkeling, you may want to try another way of being in the water—snuba diving! Breathe using a surface supplied air system, while you dive deeper than you could with a snorkel only. No certification or training is needed for snuba diving on the Alii Nui Maui, so check it out!

This 5 hour tour takes you out at 7 am and returns you to the island of Maui at noon. Complimentary transportation to and from the harbor is available from your hotel.
