Description

Treetop Canopy Course by Piiholo Ranch. Climb like a monkey and fly like a bird!

Along the quiet, rolling meadows and temperate slopes of the sleeping volcano Haleakala, something soars through the air. Was it a bird? A helicopter drone? Or a thrill seeking zipliner? Fly through the treetops of the newest addition to Upcountry ziplines, the treetop Piiholo canopy course.

Located on the historic Baldwin Family Ranch in Makawao Town, step back in time to the Paniolo cowboy days of Hawaii. Listen and learn the story of the town, ranch and cattle that made the Baldwin family famous. Begin your check in on the mountainside of town, which is easy to find and has plenty of parking available. Make sure to dress in layers, as the temperatures are often a big cooler at this elevation of 2,000 feet above sea level. Tennis shoes strapped and camera ready, you’ll meet your friendly guides at the registration building to get fitted with your safety harness and helmet.

Your professional and fun leaders put everyone at ease while you listen to the thorough, safety focused instructions and tips. After your safety briefing and everyone is comfortably fit with equipment, you head out on your Piiholo canopy course adventure!

You may notice that your harness has a single connection point to you similar to a rock climbing harness. This allows for you more freedom on your lines as you securely zip, twirl and spin through the trees! Catch beautiful views from the hilltop and soar above the gulches below. Cross an aerial bridge, land high above the ground on treetop canopy platforms and test your courage on the 42 foot quick jump! Zip across lines as long as 930 feet to the pirate tree house while having fun with the smiling, attentive guides who are full of laughs.

Make sure to add the digital photo package of your Piiholo canopy course for bragging rights!

After your adventure, make a stopover in Makawao to truly appreciate the Hawaiian Cowboy lifestyle. Baldwin Avenue provides a wonderful finale to an incredible day with options for lunch, shopping, art and culture. Experience a day on the mountainside, with a breathtaking birds eye view of Upcountry Maui with Piiholo Ranch adventures.
