To explore the island of Maui in detail, you’ve got to check out some dirt trails, and Hike Maui knows just what you’ll want to see while you’re walking them! Their 5 hour East Maui Waterfalls and Rainforest trip is a beautiful, easy to moderate hike along trails just off the Hana Highway. Winding through the lush rainforest, you’ll follow two streams to find freshwater falls cascading from 10 – 40 feet!
Each waterfall has a large, clear pool beneath it, and if you want to, you are welcome to swim in these pools! (How many people get to say that they swam in a natural waterfall pool in Maui?) In fact, at three of the waterfalls–if you are even more of an adventurous type–you can climb volcanic shelves and then leap 10 – 15 feet off these ledges into the pools below. How cool is that?
It’s safe, too. You’ll know that because you’re accompanied every step of the way with an experienced, super fun, and educated adventure guide! Each guide knows all there is to know about the Maui flora, fauna, and surroundings that you and your family are enjoying along with them. Trips with Hike Maui are limited to 12 guests maximum, so personalized guidance, answering of questions, and much laughter comes standard!
Hike Maui provides healthy snacks and lunches for everyone to dig into along the trails, which wind 2.5 miles round trip. Discovering the East Maui rainforest with its gorgeous streams, waterfalls, lava ledges, and pools is incredible, and with a stellar guide leading the way, there’s not much more you could ask for. However, one more thing is included with Hike Maui’s East Maui Waterfalls and Rainforest trip: this gorgeous excursion ends with a “shower” under a Hawaiian waterfall! Faaaaaantastic!
