Huaka’i Luau- Journey Through Polynesia
The performers greet you as you enter the picturesque luau grounds with views of Moloka’i and Lana’i. Witness the tradition of underground oven cooking at our Imu Ceremony. The evening continues with music by local musicians and singers and a feast of Hawaiian and local tastes that prepare you for the show to come. Don’t forget the sweet table as you compliment your meal with dessert.
After dinner relax and relish the wonderful luau accompanied with live island music as the sunsets. They will perform for you and perform with you. Their singing and dancing will create Hawaiian vacation picture perfect postcards. Tahitian hula, beating drums and the fire knife dancer will bring this luau to a thrilling climax worthy of your trip to Maui.

Huaka’ii Creators
Huaka’i was created as a local style of sharing culture by Mel and Kani Masoe. Kani Masoe is the most recent recipient of the “Island Idol 2018” competition. This luau continues to change as the life experiences of the creators of Huaka’i grow. Last year Mel & Kani had their sixth child. This is a real and genuine Maui couple who cherish performing and have traveled the South Seas as teachers of Hawaiian tradition and students of the other islands from Samoa to Fiji.
Mel and Kani say “We do this for our children. We share what we have learned so that our culture can be shared with the world.”
