You’re in for a treat on this full day Hana Maui hiking tour.
When you want to really get a feel for East Maui, you’ve got to take a Maui hiking tour! You’ll spend the entire day—11 hours—with Hike Maui, and you’ll explore Oheo Gulch in Maui’s National Park. A gorgeous system of freshwater pools and waterfalls are running in this area, which many people know of as the “Seven Sacred Pools.” You’ll hike to waterfalls that are 45, 200, and even 400 feet high, exploring through beautiful stalks of bamboo and a lush rainforest. This is a moderate hike, winding 4.5 miles round trip.
You’ll be led through this incredible valley by an experienced and personable guide, who will explain the unique flora, fauna, and surroundings in engaging and great detail. Hike Maui has been leading small groups up and down these trails for over 30 years, so their guides are not only experts in where they are, but also in what makes up the surroundings! Trips are limited to 12 guests, so personalized guidance, answering of questions, and laughter comes standard on your Maui hiking tour!
Everything grows faster on Maui than in cooler climates, so all the plants are simply sprawling and magnificent. Be sure to stop frequently to look waaaay up while you’re on this Maui hiking tour. You’ll see Hawaiian ferns, wildflowers, enormous trees, and orchids. You’ll hear birdsong and watch the sunlight filter through the leaves until it reaches the valley floor beneath your feet.
Healthy snacks and lunches are provided for everyone to dig into along the trails. Being on a Maui hiking tour in the rainforest, with gorgeous stands of bamboo, streams, waterfalls, and pools is incredible! And with a stellar guide leading the way, there’s not much more you could ask for.
One more thing is included, however: transportation to and from the beginning of your hike! That means that you, your group, and your guide get to enjoy the Road to Hana from Central Maui together. Your journey going to and returning from the trailhead will completely circle East Maui–awesome!
Get ready, because this Maui hiking tour will be one of the most memorable times you’ll spend on the island! Go for it!
