Description

Turtle Town and Molokini Scuba Diving is a blast with B&B.

Departing from Kihei Boat Ramp along Maui’s southern coastline, you are just a short boat ride from the shore to fascinating Molokini scuba diving destinations. Aboard the Kilikina II, a 40’ Armstrong Catamaran, you’ll be the first boat to the crater on a swift, smooth and steady ride. The comfortable vessel has seating for ten inside the cabin and boasts fresh water showers, a dedicated camera table with wash station, and marine heads.

Your adventure departs at 5:45am and returns by 10am. This takes advantage of the incredible early morning conditions; quiet winds, glassy water and fewer crowds. This also has you back on solid ground with the majority of your day ahead.

Captain will decide the dive sites for the morning based on a number of variables. They will assess the water and wind conditions, as well the skill level of your group. While snorkelers in general are limited to the inside of the crater wall, scuba divers have a wealth of options. Molokini scuba diving sites can include Reef’s End, Enenu’i and the Back Wall. Reef’s End is a great option for all skill levels. The lava ridge crests just below the surface of the water and drops to about 130 feet. Explore the inside wall and the finger that protrudes from edge of the crater. Directly across from Reef’s End, you’ll find the Enenu’i site and Shark Condos. This portion of the crater slopes from a gentle 60 feet and shelters reef sharks in the ledges around 135 feet. More experienced divers can take on the Back Wall of Molokini. It drops off nearly 200 feet and often has visibility of over 100 feet, allowing divers to encounter schools of jacks, many species of sharks and even humpback whales. The wall itself provides a unique habitat along its ledges. Spend time exploring the crevices for critters tucked away.

After you exhaust your first tank at Molokini, second tank dive sites often include Red Hill (Little Beach), St. Anthony’s Wreck, White Rock, 85’ Pinnacle and 5 Graves (Turtle Town). Although these sites may be lesser known, they consistently deliver world class diving in a picturesque setting. A full service dive shop, B&B uses well-maintained, quality equipment where safety is paramount. Reserve your spot on an exhilarating Molokini scuba diving adventure today!
