We have almost 20 years of experience helping visitors make the most of their vacation and we are getting ready to do the same for you!

Now, for a little of our history. Hawaii Discount Activities is a branch of Boss Frog’s Dive and Surf Shops, a company whose beginnings can be traced back to Maui in 1988. This is when Boss Frog designed and built a sailing catamaran called the Frogman. This boat was built for Hawaiian waters with fun and comfort as top priorities. After sailing from California all the way to Maui, it was time to start a business, a business based on Hawaiian style fun. Running daily snorkel and dive trips gave Boss Frog the opportunity to meet and talk with thousands of people visiting Hawaii. This is how he started figuring out exactly what visitors were interested in and what he could do to better accommodate them, which led to the creation of Boss Frog’s Dive and Surf. Today Boss Frog’s has grown to include six main stores on the island of Maui and is growing as you read this!

The concept behind Boss Frog’s, was to give vacationers a one stop destination where they can rent snorkel gear, surfboards, boogie boards or whatever other beach gear they might need at the same place where they can book luaus, snorkel trips, helicopter tours, surf lessons or whatever activities they may be interested in. This way visitors don’t have to waste their valuable time traveling all over trying to find the best deals and picking up thirty different items from thirty different stores. Well, the stores have become all of that and more! Today you can stop in at any of Boss Frog’s six Maui locations, book a parasail tour, a dinner cruise, bike tour or just about any other activity at the same time you are renting snorkel gear and all your other beach necessities. In fact, you can even do your gift shopping, pick up some extra towels, a new pair of board shorts, premium sunglasses, suntan lotion and a stack of postcards all at the same time!

Pretty much wherever you are on Maui, we have a location convenient for you. If you are staying in Kapalua or Napili, we have a store in the Napili Shopping Plaza right next to the Napili Market that is open from 8 AM to 5 PM. If you are staying in Napili, Kahana or Mahinahina our store at Kahana Manor, next to Dolly’s Pizza (awesome pizza) on Lower Honoapiilani Road is the store for you. If you are staying in Kaanapali or Honokowai we have a location across the street from Honokowai Beach Park where the farmer’s market is held on Lower Honoapiilani Road. Kaanapali, Lahaina and Puamana vacationers can visit our largest store on Lahainaluna Rd right in downtown Lahaina just off of Front Street (the main drag). The Lahaina Store is also the place to visit if you need to do business after 5 PM as it is open from 7:30 AM to 9 PM to serve all of your Maui vacation needs. On the South side we have two locations, one in North Kihei in the Long’s Drugs shopping plaza and one in South Kihei at Dolphin Plaza right behind Pizza Hut. Both of these locations are on South Kihei Rd (the main drag) and are easily accessible from all of Kihei, Wailea, Makena, Maalaea, Wailuku, Kahului or Paia.

This site is the logical extension of Boss Frog’s original concept. Why not make it even easier? Bookmark this page and you can easily return whenever you like, to plan your vacation at your leisure. The site is broken down in an easy to follow manner. From the main page you can choose the island you would like to book discounted activities for, choose from Maui, Oahu, Kauai or The Big Island ( Hawaii). On each island’s main page you can choose from categories such as Kauai Ocean Activities, Oahu Land Tours, Maui Air Tours or Big Island Luaus and Nightlife. Once you choose one of these, you will see choices such as snorkeling, dinner cruises, parasailing, hiking, helicopter tour or bike the volcano, by choosing one of these you will be taken to a page where you will find specific information on each activity we offer of that kind. Here you can pick a vendor and activity that is right for you, when you find an activity that looks interesting, push the more info button and you can read a more in depth explanation of the activity you are interested in. Once you have found the right one, simply click book now and you are on your way!
