Paragon Maui Sailing Charters Molokini Tour

Paragon Maui is one of the most exciting tour companies that can whisk you to Molokini Crater! Their 47 foot sailing catamaran, the Paragon II, is super comfortable and handled expertly by a friendly captain and crew. Each tour is limited to 38 passengers, so there is plenty of space to explore the boat and watch for interesting marine life that may pop above the surface of the Pacific. During whale season (December – April), you will definitely see humpback whales on your way to Molokini, which is enormously exciting!

Snorkeling Molokini may be on your Maui “must do” list, and with good reason. This volcanic crater, located three miles off the southwest coast of Maui, is both a marine life and bird preserve, and beautiful to see. Fish dressed in colors you wouldn’t believe are living just below the surface at Molokini, and birds—including the great frigatebird, depending on the season—soar high above. Underwater, keep your eyes peeled for eels and look carefully for kala (unicornfish)! Watch for the gorgeous parrotfish chomping on coral, and look for the porcupinefish that swims slowly like a blimp even when it’s not puffed up!

Paragon Maui provides all the snorkeling equipment and instruction you’ll need, as well as environmentally sensitive “reef safe” sunscreen. Hot and cold showers are available for your use to rinse off the salt water. A yummy continental breakfast is served on the way, and a deli-style lunch buffet is laid out on the boat once you have had your fill of underwater exploration. Lunch includes local beer and wine, and non-alcoholic beverages (as well as onboard restrooms) are available for you all day.
