An incredible way to spend your Maui morning, Strike Zone offers an epic six-hour fishing expedition aboard their 43’ Delta charter boat. Combine the best of both worlds with deep sea sport fishing and bottom fishing!
Conveniently depart from Ma’alaea Harbor, just a 30-minute drive from the popular resort destinations of South and West Maui. Ample and easy parking is available by the Harbor, which also houses shops, restaurants and the aquarium. Get an early start to capitalize on the daybreak conditions while the winds are quiet and the water faultless.
Strike Zone is a clean and spacious vessel with wrap around decks, offering amazing 360 degree fishing opportunities. The boat is also equipped with marine heads for your use. Coast Guard certified, the boat can provide space for 12 anglers and more riders should anyone want to come along to watch. You won’t even need a license to fish! The crew is there to help with instruction and tips should you need them.
As you make your way to a great bottom fishing location, the trolling lines are out! Your fishing adventure is on the hunt for big game trophy fish such as the legendary Pacific blue marlin. Averaging 200 pounds, any size of these fighters is a great catch. These beauties can be caught anytime of year in Hawaiian waters. You may even have a chance at the black marlin, much more elusive in our waters, but known to be caught a few times a year throughout the islands. Striped marlin often travel in pairs, maybe catch them both! Also angle for delicious tuna; yellowfin, bigeye and skipjack. The Strike Zone crew knows all the best fishing spots and frequently reel in some Hawaiian favorites such as mahi mahi (dolphin fish) and ono (wahoo).
Your fishing locations are heavily dependent on weather and the crew knows the most productive secret spots. After trolling and fighting fish, arrive to your bottom fishing location for a chance at smaller local fish like snappers, wrasse and trevally. Return from your epic, salty fishing adventure to Ma’alaea Harbor around 12:30pm, and with any luck, some fish to put on the grill for dinner!
