Trilogy Excursions’ romantic Kaanapali Sunset Sail.
Come aboard one of Trilogy’s beautiful catamarans to enjoy a delightful, peaceful and tasty two hour tour along the west Maui coastline–the Kaanapali Sunset Sail! Family owned and operated since its start in 1973, Trilogy is the oldest sailing company on Maui, and they know how to have a good time. With a passenger load of only 50, they’ll take you sailing off the coast to watch the sunset, spinner dolphins (na’ia), flying fish (malolo), and the West Maui Mountains! During humpback whale season–which takes place December through April–you are sure to see some amazing whales playing as you cruise through!
Did I mention that all of this excitement comes with wonderful food? You’ll savor a variety of delectable chef-created hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, along with sodas, filtered water, and alcoholic drinks for those of age. The bar selection includes Chardonnay, Rose, Longboard Lager, and special beer created at Maui Brewing Company. Yum, yum!
While you’re listening to (and maybe even dancing along with) the rockin’ playlist on the boat, you’ll get to watch the setting sun change the colors in the sky as well as those on the surface of the Pacific. While you’re on the boat, the two hour tour will seem endless, and you won’t let any moment of your Kaanapali Sunset Sail pass you by. Some people like to enjoy this fabulous tour for exceptional occasions such as special birthdays, the celebration of an engagement, or to give gratitude to your wedding party. Whatever your reason for going to sea, you’re going to see some magnificent sights!
The neighbor islands, across the channels, become crisper somehow, in the sunset light. Often, rainbows that are extra bright will appear in the valleys of the West Maui Mountains. And the evening brings out some of the rarely seen seabirds of Hawaii. Look for wedge-tailed shearwaters skimming just above the waves; they sleep in their burrows most of the day, and fly out solo in the evenings to catch their fish.

Location: Check-in 30 minutes prior to your activity time on the ocean side of Kaanapali Beach Hotel; in front of the Trilogy Ocean Sports Beach Center Kiosk.
Parking: park in the Kaanapali Beach Hotel parking structure. Trilogy will validate your parking ticket.
