Kayak Maui today on this awesome Makena and Turtle Town adventure!
Looking for the most unique offshore perspective of the southern coastline? Kayak Maui!
Have you ever seen a Hawaiian green sea turtle? On our Makena Turtle Town Eco Adventure, we guarantee you will! The friendly creatures often come right up to your boat and even up to your snorkel mask to say aloha before moving slowing along their way.
Your small group will paddle along the southern coastline towards the snorkel destinations of Turtle Town, Five Caves and Pu’u Ola’i. The latter is also known as Red Hill or Little Beach and is a dormant volcanic cinder cone measuring 360 feet high. The base offers wonderful snorkeling along the lava rock and tide pools. Often incorporated in Maui creation myths, Pu’u Ola’i is closely tied geologically with the Molokini islet. This three-hour kayak Maui tour is great for families and even kids ages 5 and up. Learn of Maui’s history, culture and geographical features while admiring the area of the latest lava flow that created La Perouse Bay nearly 200 years ago.
Frequent dolphin sightings occur year round and you may even get a close encounter with the humpback whales from December to April. This is a intimate ocean experience. Much different than taking a big boat tour. You are literally inches from the water, which makes for much more excitement that viewing it from a big boat. Also its very quiet. So if you here to kick back, this might be just the tour you are looking for. So sit back, relax, paddle, snorkel and soak in the scenery as your expert tour guide and water man shows off some of the best Maui has to offer.
